Parish Twinning

Fr. Raymond Mupandasekwa from Tafara in Zimbabwe recently advised how they prepare for Easter:

“Lent is the busiest season within St. Alphonsus, we have so many devotions going on.  The whole parish comes together each morning at 6 a.m. and again in the afternoon at 3 p.m. for “The Way of The Cross”.  Every Sunday the parish will meet at 5 p.m. for Benediction and Adoration.  Added to this we have divided the parish in to eight sections and have section masses, in the evenings, in the parishioners homes.  These take place outside in the open as there is no one home able to accommodate the numbers who attend”

A social evening will be held in our Church Hall on Friday 8th November, with all proceeds being donated to Fr. Raymond who is currently fundraising to meet the cost of a Hall that will be used to support Parish activities in Tafara.

Tickets will be on sale after every Mass from 20th October.
